One person was killed in an overnight home fire in Montgomery

According to a report by Montgomery Fire/Rescue, a tragic fire occurred early on Sunday resulting in a loss of life.

Around 5:40 a.m., the firefighters were called to the 3500 block of Fairground Road where they found a home engulfed in smoke and flames.

According to Crews, they were successful in controlling and putting out the fire.

According to the department, an individual was discovered deceased inside the location. However, the identity of the deceased has not yet been disclosed.

There were no additional injuries reported.

Authorities are currently investigating the root cause of the fire.

According to the Montgomery Fire/Rescue, they were able to put out a fire that occurred in a residence located in the 7000 block of Stephens Street earlier in the evening. Fortunately, nobody was harmed during the incident.
