MPD: A fatal shooting victim was discovered after a report of a vehicle fire

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – In Montgomery, police are conducting an investigation into a death that happened overnight.

Maj. Saba Coleman said that the victim was found dead after police came to a call about a car fire on southbound Interstate 85 near Taylor Road around midnight.

Coleman said that an investigation showed that the person had been shot to death.

Police found out that the person killed was 38-year-old Joseph Turner from Montgomery.

Since the probe is still going on, no other information was given out.
