Breaking News: An employee of Montgomery City was injured after a gunfire hit a sanitation truck

Montgomery, Alabama – A city employee suffered injuries from shattered glass when gunfire struck the sanitation truck he was riding in, according to the Montgomery Police Department. According to authorities, the incident occurred Monday afternoon near Fuller Road and Williams Road.

Around 3:40 p.m., the sanitation truck arrived at the 1700 block of Congressman WL Dickenson Drive, which houses the Montgomery Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division. Police and medics responded.

According to investigators, the sanitation truck was damaged by gunfire, and the occupant had minor injuries as a result of shattered glass.

It is unknown who fired the shots or why they were fired. An investigation is now underway.
