A man has been charged with robbery after a chase and crash in Montgomery

In Montgomery, a man is facing charges because police say he stole something and then led them on a car chase that ended in a crash.

Thearthis House, who is 22 years old, is charged with second-degree theft, according to the police. The robbery happened around 7:30 a.m. yesterday in the 4900 block of Plaza Drive, according to the police.

A short time later, police say they tried to stop the stolen vehicle near Ann Street and southbound Interstate 85, but the driver refused to stop. The driver crashed around Mulberry Street and West Fourth Street, which stopped the chase. Everyone was safe.
