A Montgomery police officer has been arrested and charged with nine felonies

On Tuesday, a police officer from the Montgomery Police Department was arrested and subsequently placed on leave by law enforcement.

According to MPD Chief Darryl Albert, 24-year-old Gregory Harvey is a seasoned police department member, having served for three and a half years. Harvey is currently facing serious charges, including one count of third-degree theft of property and nine counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, all of which are considered felony charges.

After his arrest, Harvey is now in the process of being booked into the Montgomery County jail. He will soon be arraigned for the charges against him.

Albert acknowledged that this incident was a setback for the department, but he emphasized that it did not define them. He made it clear that the officers in the department are dedicated to serving the community and doing their job with integrity every day. He also stressed the importance of transparency and accountability in law enforcement. “We want the public to know that we are committed to being transparent and doing what is right,” he said.

The concept is straightforward. There’s a clear line between what’s right and what’s wrong, and we refuse to accept anything that falls on the wrong side of that line.

It has been two decades since the brutal murder of an Army veteran in Alabama, yet the case remains unsolved. Despite multiple leads and investigations, the killer(s) responsible for the death of the victim have not been brought to justice. The incident continues to haunt the victim’s family and friends, who are still searching for answers and closure. The story has been covered by multiple news outlets, including the Montgomery Advertiser, which recently published an article on the 20th anniversary of the crime. The article sheds light on the case and highlights the efforts of law enforcement agencies and the victim’s loved ones to solve the mystery surrounding the murder.
