HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – Two persons were killed in an overnight fire in southwest Huntsville. According to Huntsville Fire and Rescue, there was a male and a female.

The victims’ identities and ages will not be released until family members are notified, according to officials.

At 3:42 a.m., a structure fire was reported.

When fire crews arrived, they indicated that the house was “fully involved,” which implies that the fire had spread and enveloped the property and was no longer restricted to a small area.

According to fire officials, the residence on Pickett Drive has been demolished.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
