In Madison County, a 16-year-old boy is murdered after his car drives off the road and strikes a tree stump

On Saturday night, a tragic one-vehicle crash occurred in Madison County, resulting in the death of a teenager.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has reported that the accident happened at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Elkwood Section road near Mason Road, which is about two miles north of Hazel Green.

The victim, a 16-year-old from Hazel Green, was driving a 2012 Ford Fusion that veered off the roadway and collided with a tree stump.

Sadly, the driver, whose identity has not been released by ALEA, was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
