Two killed in an accident in Mexico, Missouri

The city of Columbia, located in the state of Missouri, is making headlines.

According to authorities, two individuals lost their lives in a fatal collision that occurred on Sunday night on the Highway 54 bypass in Mexico.

According to a news release from the Mexico Department of Public Safety, Kelly B. Rolando, aged 34, from Pleasant Hill, Illinois and Jeffrey M. Jappa, aged 62, from St. Louis, lost their lives when Rolando’s Dodge, traveling northbound, swerved across the center line and collided head-on with Jappa’s Tesla at around 7 pm.

According to authorities, Cheryl A. Pro, aged 63 and a passenger in the Tesla, was transported to University Hospital via ambulance. However, the good news is that Pro was reported to be in good condition on Monday, as per the hospital spokesperson.

According to the authorities, the accident occurred approximately one mile away from East Liberty Street, resulting in the closure of the bypass for over two hours.

As of Monday morning, there isn’t any additional information provided.
