Try That in a Small Town? Alleged Members of Violent NYC Gang Arrested by Police in Upstate Small Town

Three individuals from Brooklyn have been taken into custody by police in upstate New York for their alleged affiliation with a highly violent street gang known as the “Rich Bosses.”

According to a recent statement released by the Wappingers Falls Police Department, three individuals were arrested earlier this week for their involvement in a robbery incident. The suspects have been identified as Trent Dance, aged 20, William Harvin, aged 24, and Mekhi Murphy, aged 25. They are facing charges of second-degree robbery and third-degree grand larceny. Additionally, Murphy is facing one count of fifth-degree criminal conspiracy.

Police were summoned to the Home Depot located in the Imperial Plaza on Tuesday afternoon following reports of an ongoing larceny.

According to reports, three men were caught red-handed while attempting to flee a store with electrical equipment worth $1,800. The suspects had stuffed the items into garbage bags and were stopped in their tracks by store loss prevention officers before they could escape.

According to reports, the store employee was allegedly assaulted by one of the men, and after the incident, the three suspects quickly fled the scene in a car that had Florida license plates.

The car was eventually caught by the police units in Wappingers after a brief pursuit that went through Lagrange, Poughkeepsie, and onto I-84.

According to the statement, the car proceeded towards the East on Interstate 84 and collided with another vehicle, resulting in damage to the right front. The impact caused the car to become disabled between exits 61 and 62, where routes 311 and 312 intersect.

According to the statement, Dance is facing several outstanding warrants in other areas. Additionally, the driver, Murphy, has received over 60 traffic summonses from multiple agencies.

According to authorities, the three individuals have been linked to a theft that occurred at Home Depot on August 21. Reports indicate that during the previous incident, the suspects made off with electrical equipment worth anywhere from $5,500 to $8,800. Interestingly, the three men were spotted driving a rental car during both occurrences.

According to the statement, our Detective Sergeant was able to identify the suspects through various law enforcement intelligence connections and the New York City Police Department. The suspects were identified as members of a violent organized street gang called the “Rich Bosses.”

According to reports, the authorities are currently investigating three suspects who may have been involved in similar incidents in Port Chester and Ulster. Criminal charges are said to be pending against these individuals.

It wasn’t clear whether any of the men had made an appearance before a judge to enter their pleas, as The Messenger couldn’t confirm. Details on their respective lawyers were also not accessible.
