Southern Alabama’s shelter for girls rescued from human trafficking continues to expand

The Camille Place, which serves as a sanctuary for girls rescued from human trafficking, is rapidly expanding in Mobile, Alabama.

Chris Ziebach, the founder of Camille Place, revealed that their organization is currently catering to four girls and extending their services to pregnant girls who have been victimized. In the last nine days alone, they have received seventeen calls, highlighting the pressing need for their assistance.

During our initial conversation in August, we had the pleasure of speaking with Ziebach about the Camille Place. Recently, we had the opportunity to catch up with her again, this time from Montgomery, where she provided us with an update.

Ziebach expressed her gratitude for being invited as a guest speaker for the human trafficking alliance at the Attorney General’s Office in Alabama today. She highlighted the work being done at Camille Place, which provides assistance to girls aged 6 to 19 who have been victims of human trafficking.

Located in Southern Alabama, Camille Place is a hidden gem that took eight years to build with the help of generous donors and volunteers. This facility is more than just a place to live, it is a community where residents can flourish and thrive.

According to Ziebach, the residents are a creative bunch who enjoy a variety of hobbies and activities. From gardening and art to music and baking, they love to keep busy and explore their interests. Additionally, florals are a popular pastime among the residents, reflecting their appreciation for nature and beauty. Whether they are whipping up delicious treats in the kitchen or tending to their gardens, the residents of this community are always finding ways to stay engaged and fulfilled.

According to Ziebach, the girls have even started participating in equine therapy sessions lately. However, regardless of the activities they engage in, Ziebach considers them to be like family to her.

Ziebach expressed that volunteering has been the most fulfilling experience of his life, second only to his own family.

According to Ziebach, as the house expands, the final result also expands.

According to Ziebach, “We welcome all viewers to join us in our mission through prayer, providing financial support, or even signing up to become a volunteer or staff member. For more information, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected].”
