Report: Ex-NFL Player Passes Away Following Construction Site Accident

According to Spectrum News 1 Buffalo, former NFL star wide receiver Mike Williams tragically passed away last week due to injuries sustained in a construction accident. He was 36 years old. Williams had an impressive career at Syracuse University and was drafted in 2010, playing four seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before moving to his hometown of Buffalo to play for the Bills in 2014. Spectrum News 1 reported that Williams passed away from injuries sustained in the construction site accident. His former teammate, Gerald McCoy, took to X to express his condolences: “Dang man hurts my heart seeing the news of my former teammate and Buccaneers 2010 draft class brother Mike Williams.” According to a GoFundMe page, Williams was killed on Friday when a steel beam fell on his head.
