A group of individuals from Binghamton are currently facing felony charges related to drugs following a traffic stop in St. Lawrence County, specifically in Massena.
On Tuesday, September 12, 35-year-old Mohammad Wesley and 27-year-old Kadeja Wesley were apprehended by the Massena Police. The authorities pulled over the duo on South Main Street leading to their arrest.
Upon discovering 5.15 ounces of cocaine, the duo was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. As per the law, this quantity of narcotics over four ounces makes it a felony charge.
After a thorough investigation, law enforcement officials discovered a sum of $2,665 in cash. Following this discovery, both individuals were taken into custody and appeared before the Massena Town Court. They were subsequently transported to the St. Lawrence County jail in Canton to await further legal proceedings.
The Massena Police Department received assistance from the New York State Police during their investigation.
