On Thursday morning, the Mobile Big Game Fishing Club in Orange Beach had a remarkable catch. They weighed in an enormous blue marlin that weighed 1,145.6 pounds. It was an impressive feat that showcases the incredible fishing skills of the club’s members.
According to Captain Chris Mowad, they managed to catch it just yesterday, roughly 125 miles away from the shore.
According to him, they had to put in over two hours of effort to successfully reel it in, utilizing a line that could withstand up to 130 pounds of weight.
As of now, the biggest blue marlin ever caught weighed in at a staggering 851.9 pounds.
According to Moward, it will only take a couple of weeks to determine whether they have established the new record.
