Police report possible antisemitic attack on woman by man inside Manhattan train station

Authorities in Manhattan are currently searching for a suspect who reportedly committed a hate crime against a woman. The victim was attacked by the perpetrator, and the police are actively investigating the situation to bring the person responsible to justice.

On a Saturday, specifically on October 14, a 29-year-old woman was punched in the face by a man of unknown identity inside the 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue Subway Station in Midtown as reported by authorities.

The authorities have reported that the attacker punched the victim and gave a shocking reason when questioned about his actions. The attacker stated that the victim was punched because of her religion, stating “you are Jewish” before quickly fleeing the scene.

The injured party sustained only minor wounds.

The Hate Crimes Unit of the NYPD is currently conducting an investigation.
