According to a report from NBC, a bus driver from MTA went on a rampage in Mill Basin on Friday morning, destroying multiple parked cars in a sudden outburst of anger.
As the sun rose on Friday morning, the residents of Mill Basin were met with an alarming sight. The streets were cluttered with crumpled cars piled on top of one another, a clear indication of the destruction caused by a reckless bus driver. The scene left many drivers astonished and bewildered at the sight of the chaos and destruction.
According to reports, a bus driver for MTA crashed into three parked cars in the Mill Basin area at around 10:00 a.m. The tire marks suggest that the parked vehicles were pushed onto a nearby lawn before coming to a stop at the front steps of a nearby house.
As captured in surveillance footage along Avenue U and Mill Avenue, a parked car was no match for a B47 bus. The video shows the bus smashing and shattering the cars, ultimately compressing two of them together.
Fortunately, there were no casualties during the occurrence.
According to Margaret Blair, the bus driver didn’t stop the vehicle after the incident and continued to drive down the street. Blair’s house was nearly hit during the collision.
Blair shared her shock and disbelief upon hearing a loud crunch, which she initially mistook for a recycling truck. However, upon hearing the car alarm, she immediately realized the situation was severe. Rushing outside with her neighbors, they were met with the sight of a car on her lawn with another car stacked on top of it. Feeling overwhelmed, Blair wondered aloud about their next steps.
The cause of the bus driver’s sudden outburst remains a mystery. Nevertheless, transit authorities have confirmed that the driver has been suspended from duty.
