Mom sentenced in Albuquerque crash that killed two children

A mother from New Mexico recently entered a plea of no contest for her involvement in a fatal drunk driving accident that resulted in the deaths of two children in 2021. According to reports, the woman was sentenced to prison for her actions. The incident has left a tragic impact on the families of those involved and serves as a reminder of the dangers of impaired driving.

As per the criminal complaint, it was reported that Danielle Ortiz and Alexis Martinez, the driver, were both under the influence of alcohol when the latter crashed into a concrete barrier near the Big-I. The incident has been captured on police video and has caused the tragic loss of two young lives.

Tragically, the innocent lives of Martinez’s 7-year-old daughter and Ortiz’s infant son were lost.

Last month, Martinez was given a sentence for her involvement in a DWI crash that resulted in the deaths of two children. As per the ruling, she will be serving a 20-year term in prison.

After being found guilty, Ortiz has been given a sentence of 10 years in prison. She has been granted a five-day window to surrender herself.
