We heard screaming” leads to discovery of woman, teen girl, and pet dog found dead in NYC

In Brooklyn, a woman and a teenage girl were tragically found dead in their apartment, prompting an ongoing investigation. According to neighbors, they had contacted the NYPD after hearing alarming noises coming from the residence last week.

According to insiders who spoke to CBS New York, the mother and daughter had not been in contact with their neighbors since Friday. As a result, officers were summoned to Apartment 1296 on New York Avenue in East Flatbush on Monday to conduct a wellness check.

During their search, they stumbled upon a heartbreaking discovery – a helpless dog with a bag over its head, which ultimately led to its suffocation.

According to a resident of the building, he was startled by loud screams and banging noises emanating from the second-floor apartment at approximately 7:20 a.m. on Friday. Alarmed by the commotion, he wasted no time and dialed 911 to report the incident.

Steve Schor recounted the harrowing events, stating that the sound of screaming and the dog’s whimpering filled the air. The police were quickly informed and they proceeded to investigate the scene. Upon reaching the upstairs apartment, they encountered blaring music and no response from inside. Steve expressed deep concern for the affected family and hopes that the perpetrator will be brought to justice.

A resident who has been living in the area for 26 years expressed her shock and dismay over the recent events. “It’s just absolutely horrible. Nothing like this has ever happened before, and to know that it’s so close to home is very terrifying and disheartening,” she said.

According to neighbors, the mother and daughter had been residing in the building for a brief period of three to four months. The building itself is relatively new, as reported by those living in the surrounding area.

According to the police, there have been no arrests made and no one has been taken into custody at this time.
