According to the police, a group of about twelve young criminals with baby-faced features approached a couple in the East Village while they were leaving a bar over the weekend. The couple was then mugged by the group without any warning or provocation.
According to authorities, a young couple aged 22 and 23, were approached by a group of 12 individuals consisting of eight men and four women. The incident took place on East 12th Street and Avenue C at around 3:45 a.m. on Sunday. The suspects appeared to be quite young.
According to the authorities, during the robbery, one of the culprits brandished an unidentified weapon while forcefully snatching away the victims’ mobile phones, debit cards, purses, and wallets.
According to the authorities, the female victim sustained only minor injuries. However, both she and her male companion declined medical assistance at the location.
The teenagers, as seen in the surveillance footage released by the NYPD, were captured walking on the sidewalk before suddenly stopping to gather in a circle. It appeared that they were up to something, but their intentions were unclear.
According to authorities, the robbers fled the scene after the incident.
