On Tuesday morning, the Kansas City police officers successfully apprehended a man who was involved in a standoff. The suspect is currently in custody and the situation has been resolved.
According to KCPD, a female individual contacted them at around 4 a.m. to report that she had been a victim of domestic assault and that the perpetrator was still present in her residence.
When the officers arrived at her residence located around 46th Terrace and Bales Avenue to speak to the suspect, he adamantly refused to come out.
According to KCPD, due to the possibility of the suspect being armed, the police decided to retreat from the house and encircle the vicinity in order to prevent any chance of the man fleeing.
The inquiry into the domestic violence attack is still in progress.
