Five-Car Chain Reaction Crash, 2 Pedestrians Critically Injured, Leaves 1 Person with Severe Injuries

Late Saturday night, a chain reaction crash involving five cars occurred on U.S. 71 Highway in Kansas City, Missouri. As a result, one person suffered critical injuries.

At around 11 p.m., according to police reports, a Chevrolet Cruz and a black Toyota Camry were stopped at a red light on northbound 71. Suddenly, a Pontiac G6 crashed into the back of the Chevrolet, causing it to collide with the Camry.

While attempting to steer clear of the accident scene, a Chrysler 300 traveling in a northerly direction ended up colliding with a concrete wall.

Two drivers found themselves standing outside their damaged vehicles on the highway. A red Toyota Camry, traveling northbound, collided with the Pontiac, causing it to hit the two drivers who had turned into pedestrians.

After the accident, the driver of the Pontiac was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Fortunately, the other driver who had turned into a pedestrian also received medical attention at a nearby hospital. Fortunately, their injuries were not life-threatening, and they are expected to recover soon.

Fortunately, none of the other drivers involved in the collision sustained any injuries.
