DeKalb County authorities make a large drug bust and seize a large amount of drugs

DeKalb County Narcotics Agents recently executed a large traffic stop that resulted in the seizure of a trafficking amount of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl. Agents executed their traffic stop at Frankies Service Station on Highway 75 in Ider. The driver escaped on foot during the halt, leaving the passenger inside the vehicle.

Agents identified the passenger as Scott William Haldane, 49, of Ider, who was out on bond and had a history of drug trafficking, including Fentanyl. When more agents arrived on the site, they searched for the driver, but he was not discovered.

Haldane was charged with Illegal Drug Trafficking (x2), Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Resisting Arrest.

Law enforcement searched the vehicle and discovered 60 grams of methamphetamine, 6 grams of Crack Cocaine, and 7 grams of powdered Fentanyl, as well as drug accessories.
