About Chick-fil-A

Chick-fil-A is a fast-food restaurant chain that specializes in chicken sandwiches, nuggets, and strips. The company was founded in 1946 by S. Truett Cathy, who opened a tiny diner called the Dwarf Grill in Hapeville, Georgia. Today, Chick-fil-A has over 2,600 locations across 47 states, Washington, D.C., Canada, and Puerto Rico.

Menu

Chick-fil-A’s menu includes breakfast items, entrees, salads, sides, and treats. Some of the most popular items on the menu include the original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, Chick-n-Strips, and Waffle Potato Fries. The company also offers catering services for events and parties.

Locations

Chick-fil-A has locations in many states across the US, including New York, New Jersey, and Texas. The company opens a limited number of restaurants each year, with new locations selected based on corporate goals for expansion in specifically targeted markets and other relevant business factors.

History and Values

Family was always central to Truett Cathy’s life and would shape his unique approach to business later in life. With his wife of 65 years, Jeannette, he had three children: Trudy, Don “Bubba”, and Dan. The current generation of the Cathy family honors Truett’s legacy and continues to put his principles into action in both business and philanthropy. Many of the company’s values are influenced by the Christian religious beliefs of its late founder, S. Truett Cathy, a devout Southern Baptist.
