A man shot to death found in a Kansas City house

Authorities in Kansas City are investigating a homicide case after a man was discovered shot to death in a house located in the southeast part of the city on Friday morning. Detectives are currently gathering evidence and searching for a suspect in relation to the incident.

According to the Kansas City police, they received a call about a medical emergency at 52nd and College, situated in between 71 Highway and Swope Parkway, at approximately 2:30 a.m. Upon arrival, the officers discovered a man who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was unresponsive.

After the unfortunate incident, the officers promptly tried to revive the victim through first aid. However, despite their best efforts, the emergency workers had to declare the man deceased on the spot. The victim was later identified by the KCPD as Dennis D. Jones, who was just 42 years old.

Authorities are actively seeking witnesses and requesting anyone who may have been present in or around the location, or have information about the events leading up to the fatal shooting, to come forward.
