A man from Sandy Creek, New York is currently being held without bail at the Oswego County Jail after being charged in connection with a fatal car crash that occurred in June, resulting in the deaths of two people.
The suspect, identified as Jason Robinson, aged 40, was arrested by the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday and was arraigned on several charges, including vehicular manslaughter, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and driving while ability impaired by drugs.
During the incident on June 10, Robinson was driving a 2006 Ford pickup truck on State Route 104 in the Town of Albion when he crossed over into the opposite lane and collided with a 2011 Toyota Camry.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Camry, Annemarie McDermott, aged 62, and her passenger, Richard McDermott, aged 66, were declared dead at the scene. The investigation into the crash is still ongoing, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
