Breaking news: Man killed in tractor-trailer crash

HARPERSVILLE – A Cropwell man lost his life in a tragic two-vehicle collision that took place around 11:25 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23, in Harpersville.

An unfortunate incident took place where Joseph M. Brennan, an 82-year-old individual, lost his life in a car accident. He was driving a 2017 Volkswagen Passat when it collided with a 2006 Peterbilt tractor-trailer driven by Brian A. Moore, 40, of Valley Grande. It was reported that Brennan was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and was declared deceased on the spot.

According to reports, a collision took place on Alabama 25, close to the 142-mile marker, just about a mile south of Harpersville, in Shelby County. At this point, Troopers from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are still investigating the incident, and no further details are available.
