Authorities are looking for a convicted murderer who escaped from Staton Correctional Facility

ELMORE COUNTY, Ala. – A man who was convicted of murder and is currently serving a life sentence escaped from Staton Correctional Facility on Monday morning.

Jordan Andrew Thomas, who committed the murder in 2012, was reported to have escaped at around 11:00 a.m. on Monday. The authorities are currently conducting a search for him.

Thomas was last seen wearing a brown shirt and brown pants. He is 5 feet and 8 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. Thomas has tattoos on his body, including an “I-65” tattoo on the front of his neck.
