Ozark resident faces robbery charge after shoplifting

Andrew Lamont White, a resident of Ozark, was charged with third-degree robbery on August 5, 2023.

The charges come after accusations of shoplifting from a store on Ross Clark Circle. According to reports, White concealed unpaid items in his clothing and tried to leave the store without paying for them.

However, employees stopped him, and he allegedly reacted by pushing them and attempting to flee. Fortunately, a customer intervened and held White until the police arrived.

White, a 55-year-old man, was subsequently arrested, and his bail was set at $15,000. The reason for the robbery charge was due to the physical altercation between White and the employees.
