According to authorities, Shawn E. Nero, aged 50, was the prime suspect in the sale of heroin and crack from his residence located on Harrison Street, situated between Carroll Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard. The narcotics detectives were on his trail to catch him red-handed.
Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik revealed that with the help of the Warrant Squad, Mounted Division, and ERT, they apprehended Nero on Thursday, Oct. 26 after he left the vicinity. They stopped his car and took him into custody. According to the sheriff, the second and third floors of the building were raided by them.
According to the authorities, they confiscated 300 folds of heroin, 51 vials of crack, a pellet gun, and $400 in suspected earnings. According to Berdnik, Nero was apprehended along with Keishon D. Miller, 49, who was in possession of drugs and had an active child support warrant, and Tiffany O. Arvelo, 35, who was wanted for child endangerment by a caretaker.
As of Saturday, Arvelo was still detained in the Passaic County Jail, while Nero and Miller were being held in the Bergen County Jail.
