In the Montgomery shooting, two people, ages 25 and 21, were slain

An inquiry is underway following the deaths of two men in Montgomery earlier this week.

Melvin Steiner Jr., 25, and Lamarch Russell Jr., 21, were killed Monday night, according to Montgomery police.

According to police Maj. Saba Coleman, officers and medics arrived to the 1200 block of Hugh Street around 8 p.m. on a report of persons shot. When they arrived, both victims were dead on the scene.

The facts behind the fatal double shooting are still being investigated. There has been no further information revealed.
