A chase started on I-65 in Autauga County and ended on Perry Hill Road in Montgomery on Thursday afternoon.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says that at about 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Special Agents with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Bureau of Investigation helped pursue a 2021 GMC Yukon on Interstate 85 in Montgomery County. The chase started on Interstate 65 in Autauga County, but it stopped when the 2021 GMC Yukon crashed into another car on Perry Hill Road.
ALEA said that after the crash, the driver ran away for a short time but was finally caught by police. The driver was named as Theodric R. Collins, who is 35 years old and lives in Pike Road.
ALEA Special Agents caught Collins and charged him with Felony Attempting to allude. Collins was put in the Montgomery County Jail because he had multiple arrest warrants.
The chase was helped by the Autauga County Sheriff’s Office, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and the Montgomery Police Department. MPD looked into the car accident.
There is no more information about this case, which is still going on.
