Yesterday morning, a group of at least three individuals broke into a vehicle on Southampton Road in Montgomery, as captured on video. This disturbing incident has sparked concern among community members and authorities have called for public assistance in identifying the culprits. The Russell-Montgomery Police Department shared the footage, believing that the group may have also been involved in other similar incidents in the area.
WWLP reports that at approximately 3:00 a.m. on that particular morning, a strange vehicle halted in front of a house where two cars were parked. Surveillance cameras captured the suspects’ behavior as one of them attempted to open an SUV’s door, while the other tried to access a truck. Despite encountering some resistance, the suspects eventually shifted their attention to the SUV and managed to force the door open, but the sound of the car alarm was triggered in the process.
According to a recent article by WWLP, the suspects wasted no time when the alarm went off. They quickly gathered items from the SUV before fleeing the scene in their getaway vehicle. Police authorities believe that there were three suspects in total, with one remaining in the getaway vehicle while the other two carried out the burglary. The police are also investigating whether this group is linked to other break-ins in nearby communities, which has raised concerns and prompted a thorough investigation.
Residents in the area are being urged by the Russell-Montgomery Police Department to come forward with any information that may help solve the ongoing crime spree. The department is requesting for photos, videos, or any relevant details that could assist in bringing the culprits to justice. Individuals who have had similar experiences or have recorded any suspicious activities or vehicles in their neighborhoods are encouraged to reach out to the police immediately.
