Mocobizscene- The Los Angeles Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in locating the individuals responsible for a tragic shooting in Boyle Heights, which resulted in the death of a 14-year-old boy.
At 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, officers received a report of “shots fired” at the intersection of 1st and Pecan streets, close to Pecan Park and the 101 Freeway. Upon arrival at the scene, the police discovered a young Hispanic male who had been shot. Tragically, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on site. Authorities suspect that the shooting is connected to gang activity.
According to authorities, there were reports of two male suspects who were seen fleeing the area in a vehicle. However, no specific information about the suspects or the type of car they were driving has been released. The investigation that followed led to the issuance of a SigAlert by the California Highway Patrol for the southbound off ramp of the 101 Freeway. The duration of the SigAlert is currently unknown.
