DC police investigating two separate shootings occurring within a two-hour timeframe

Mocobizscene- The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is currently investigating two separate shootings that occurred within a two-hour timeframe on Monday evening.

In the early evening, around 5:48 p.m., a shooting incident unfolded in Northwest D.C., specifically in the 900 block of New York Ave. The local police, led by Captain Sharde Harris, swiftly responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they discovered a man who had sustained gunshot wounds.

After conducting an investigation, MPD discovered that the victim had been shot in the 900 block of K St. Authorities have issued a warning to be vigilant for a suspect described as a man wearing a black sweatsuit and carrying a black and white drawstring bag.

Around 7:17 p.m., another shooting occurred near the NOMA Metro Station at 1200 of 3rd St. in Northeast D.C. A man was discovered unresponsive at the scene. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has issued a description of a possible suspect – a man with a slim build and dreadlocks. He was last seen driving a grey Chrysler 200 with D.C. license plates GR-3248.
