Mocobizscene- Authorities reported a fatal two-vehicle collision near the Carson Weigh Station in Carson. The incident involved a big rig and a black sedan, resulting in the death of one person.
CHP Officer Sergio Garcia informed City News Service that officers from the California Highway Patrol were summoned to the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway near the weigh station between Avalon Boulevard and Main Street at approximately 11:24 p.m. on Friday. At the scene, they discovered the victim.
The sedan was discovered wedged beneath the semi-trailer, causing both vehicles to obstruct the right two lanes of the freeway.
One lane of the northbound freeway was closed by the CHP as they conducted an investigation of the collision, leading to the issuance of a SigAlert.
