Mocobizscene- According to U.S. Attorney Matt Graves, a man from D.C. was found guilty on Wednesday of several crimes relating to a road rage shooting in which he attacked a woman, her two children, and a bystander in Northeast D.C. in 2021.
Kenneth Miles Davis, 45, was found guilty of assault with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm during a crime following a three-week trial.
On May 19, 2021, at around 5 p.m., Davis was operating his Maserati GranTurismo in dense rush hour traffic at the junction of Kenilworth Avenue, Northeast, and Eastern Avenue, Northeast, according to court documents.
Using a revolver, he abruptly exited his vehicle and shot seven times into the automobile in front of him, killing a lady and her two children, who were five and eleven years old, according to court records.
Evidence indicates that he then turned and shot six more times at onlookers.
The 5-year-old youngster was injured by shards of glass in the automobile, while the mom sustained an upper arm bullet wound. As to the court filings, neither the bystander nor the 11-year-old youngster sustained any injuries.
Davis was identified as the shooter and the owner of the Maserati when the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) provided video footage that sparked a tip, according to court filings.
Davis was detained in August 2021 in Costa Rica and then extradited to Washington, D.C.
The date of Davis’ sentencing hearing is set for March 29, 2024.
