Mocobizscene- Police reported that a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian near a bustling intersection in Wilmington on Wednesday night.
According to a news release from the Wilmington Police Department on Thursday, officers were called to the intersection of Randall Parkway and South College Road at approximately 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday in response to a report of a pedestrian found lying on the road. Despite the best efforts of first responders, the male victim tragically passed away at the scene.
The police are currently withholding the identity of the victim as they are in the process of notifying the next of kin. Ongoing investigations are being conducted to further understand the incident.
