Miami Police: Violent Tragedy In Overtown Stemming From Romantic Involvement With Crack Cocaine User

Mocobizscene- In Miami’s Overtown neighborhood, a woman informed the police that her romantic relationship with Tony Cain turned violent after nine months. Miami-Dade correctional officers booked Cain, 40, at 1 a.m. on Thursday, at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, about six months after an attack, according to county records.

According to the arrest report, the arrest of Cain took place on Wednesday, shortly before 8:30 p.m., in the area of Northwest First Place and 12 Street. This arrest comes after the alleged attack that occurred around 1 a.m. on June 24, in the vicinity of Northwest Eighth Court and 13 Street.

According to the police, Cain was in possession of crack cocaine with the intention of using it at the time of his arrest in Overtown.

According to court records, Cain currently has two pending cases. These cases involve charges of kidnapping, strongarm robbery, battery by strangulation, as well as possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
