Mocobizscene-Oklahoma City police officers swiftly arrived at the scene of a crime after a shooting took place on Thursday afternoon outside the 7-Eleven convenience store located at 12201 W Reno, just south of Yukon. Tragically, two individuals lost their lives and were later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. The gravity of the situation is captured in a photograph taken by Jeremy Pyle.
A shooting on Thursday afternoon in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven convenience store in the Yukon area has resulted in the death of two individuals. According to Detective Rob Robertson, a sergeant with the Oklahoma City Police, there is currently no active search for additional suspects involved in the case. As of now, no arrests have been made.
The police were actively engaging with witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage on Thursday afternoon. Additionally, they were in the process of informing the next of kin about the situation.
On December 28th, at approximately 2:45 p.m., officers from the Oklahoma City Police Department were dispatched to the 7-Eleven located at S Czech Hall Road and W. Reno Avenue. Oklahoma City police investigators used yellow crime scene tape to cordon off an area near the gas pumps where two vehicles were parked.
At 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, OKCPD shared a post on the department’s Twitter account.
Authorities are currently at the scene of a shooting near Reno Avenue & Czech Hall Road at a convenience store. Two individuals have been taken to the hospital for treatment. It is advised to avoid the area for the time being.
Police are currently investigating Thursday’s double shooting and have not yet released any details about what happened or information about the suspect involved.
The store located south of Interstate 40, with a Yukon address, is actually within the city limits of Oklahoma City. According to the Oklahoma Lottery, a Yukon woman recently won $1 million at the same location.
