Man, Woman Fatally Stabbed At Avenel Hotel: Woodbridge Police

Mocobizscene- Following a double stabbing at an Avenel hotel on Wednesday night, a man from Elizabeth was taken into custody.

Leroy Boyd, 45, of Elizabeth, was charged with aggravated assault, according to Woodbridge police, after he reportedly attacked a man and a woman at the Douglas Motel on Route 1. They claim to have found a folding knife.

According to authorities, the victims suffered non-life-threatening slash wounds and were transferred to University Hospital in Newark.

What preceded the attack is being looked into by the authorities.
