Mocobizscene-Two brothers who were allegedly shot dead outside the Peruvian chicken restaurant they worked at lay dying next to each other in a street in Washington, D.C.

Authorities claim that on December 12, just after midnight, Octavio Quintano, 28, and Osmine Quintano, 35, were shot and killed in the vicinity of The Pollo Company in northeastern D.C.

The boys were shot, and according to the attorney’s office, they crawled beneath a car, where they were subsequently discovered dead (NBC Washington). Ronzoni Allen Jackson, Jr. was detained in relation to their suspected killings, according to a Tuesday announcement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Jackson, 24, is accused of planning two separate murders. He made a not guilty plea.

According to Steve Paniagua, a family friend of the victims, “everyone’s sad and grieving,” WDCA-TV said. “Everyone continues to be in shock. Everyone is in shock and sadness, finding it hard to believe what happened. Two kids and a wife are Octavio’s only survivors.

He was a kind man who cherished his wife and children. His daughter’s birthday was just passed away. She turned two recently,” Paniagua said. “He’s a really kind, modest man who stays out of trouble.”

According to a GoFundMe effort, family members are trying to return the brothers’ bodies to Honduras, where their parents reside. Jackson will appear in court on January 2 and is being held without bond in the interim. Investigations are still ongoing to determine a motive.
