Unpaid Parker Convicted For Kidnapping Threat, Assault Of DPW Worker Towing Car In DC: Feds

Mocobizscene- Federal authorities announced that Antoine Nicholson, 34, was found guilty of multiple offences after his trial for threatening government employees during an incident that occurred on U Street in August as he was en route to being towed.

Prosecutors stated in the early hours of Saturday, August 12th, that Nicholson was parked unlawfully in a no-parking zone in the 2100 block of 10th Street NW in a vehicle with expired tags and over $3,000 in unpaid parking tickets. This allegedly triggered a chain of events that could result in his incarceration.

Nicholson was displeased when two DPW parking enforcement officers conducting area patrols discovered the unlawfully parked vehicle and initiated the process of impounding it in light of the overdue citations.

Officials claim that Nicholson halted them in the middle of the tunnel, tossing profanities at them. As soon as the officers explained the reason for the vehicle seizure, Nicholson entered the vehicle’s driver’s side, retrieved a handgun, and “threatened to ‘bust’ the victim.”

Nicholson eluded capture by law enforcement authorities around a half-mile from where the initial incident occurred.

On Friday, December 15th, he received his conviction for a variety of offences, including intimidating, impeding, interfering with, and retaliating against a government official, assaulting, and threatening to injure or abduct an individual.

When Nicholson is sentenced in March, he will be subject to a $50,000 fine and a maximum of twenty years in prison for the allegation of kidnapping.
