In an update from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) on Wednesday, it was announced that two individuals have been apprehended in connection with a triple homicide that occurred in Northwest, D.C. back in August.
Just after 1 a.m. on August 5th, officers were called to the scene of a shooting in the 2500 block of Ontario Rd., NW. Upon arrival, they discovered three male individuals who had sustained gunshot wounds.
34-year-old James Morgan and 30-year-old Jamal Morgan, both from Southeast, D.C., tragically lost their lives at that location. Vincent Martin, a 42-year-old resident of Southeast, D.C., was the third victim in the series of incidents. After being taken to the hospital, he tragically passed away on August 7th.
On December 5th, the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) apprehended Renza Bryant, a 37-year-old resident of Northwest, D.C., and Jalonte Thompkins, a 34-year-old resident of Northeast, D.C., in Fort Washington, Maryland.
After waiving their right to an extradition hearing, the two individuals were transported to the Homicide Branch of the MPD, where they faced charges of first-degree murder while armed.
