The Bethesda Police Department is conducting an investigation into an attempted armed carjacking. The incident transpired at 11:53 p.m. on Sunday, November 26.
One armed suspect remained in the Nissan Rogue while the remaining three approached a parked Porsche 911, for a total of four suspects. A suspect brandished a firearm towards the victim, demanded his car key, and then fatally struck him in the head.
The perpetrators were prevented from fleeing in the Porsche as a result of their inadequate understanding of operating a manual transmission.
