Suspected Kidnapper Accused of Killing Chyna Crawford in DC: Authorities

Authorities announced on Wednesday morning that Lashawn Washington, a 32-year-old resident of Southeast, has been charged with murder, kidnapping, and obstruction of justice in connection with the ongoing search for Crawford.

Crawford went missing from Southwest DC on October 26, 2023. The last known sighting of Crawford was in the 4000 block of South Capitol Street SW.

Crawford, a woman with long black dreadlocks and brown eyes, is described as being 5-foot-7 and weighing 120 pounds. Her gray 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS550, which is missing, has a temporary Virginia license plate with the tag “998859V.”

The organizers of a GoFundMe campaign have expressed their desire to reward a tip on Chyna’s location with a sum of up to $5,000. They have also emphasized that any contribution towards this cause would be highly valued. Furthermore, they have kindly requested those who are unable to donate to help by sharing relevant posts about Chyna on social media using the hashtag #findchyna.

After Washington’s arrest on Tuesday, March 26, numerous people expressed their joy on social media, hopeful that justice would finally be served.

The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
