Mocobizscene- A shooting at a gym on the west side of Indianapolis marked the end of a violent night, leaving two individuals injured.
Police officers were already present at the site of a previous shooting on the west side when they received a call to head a few blocks south to VASA Fitness along 38th Street near I-465. On-site footage captured by gym-goers revealed that at least two gunshots were discharged.
IMPD Captain Mike McCardia reported that two individuals, an adult and a teenager, sustained injuries.
According to McCardia, there is limited information available regarding the incident. It is reported that an individual entered through the front door and began firing shots. The exact details surrounding the event remain unclear, but it is evident that the scene was filled with chaos and confusion.
McCardia mentioned that there are individuals who fled the scene and they are urging them to contact IMPD detectives in order to assist with the investigation.
Both victims are currently in stable condition, with the teenager being transported to Riley Hospital located downtown.
No arrests have been made thus far.
