Two individuals in the Village of Sidney were arrested following a month-long narcotics investigation, according to reports from WIVT/WBGH.
The Delaware County Sheriff, Craig DuMond, has revealed that Misty Cintron, aged 43, and Brandon Hendricks, aged 50, from Sidney, have been charged with numerous felony drug offenses, with more charges expected to follow. The Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation that led to the discovery of various drugs and drug-related paraphernalia in the possession of the accused individuals.
On November 1, officers executed a high-risk search warrant at a residence on Division Street where they promptly detained and identified Cintron and Hendricks.
While searching the residence, Sheriff’s Investigators, Deputies, and the Sidney Police Department stumbled upon 254 wax envelopes filled with fentanyl and $1,018 in cash. The police suspect that the cash was obtained from drug sales. Consequently, Cintron and Hendricks were apprehended.
Both Cintron and Hendricks faced serious charges after being accused of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, which is a class B felony. Cintron also faced a charge of tampering with physical evidence, a class E felony. Meanwhile, Hendricks was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, which is a class A misdemeanor.
According to DuMond, the warrant execution and resulting arrests will involve multiple felony drug charges. These charges will specifically include methamphetamine, cocaine, MDMA, various illegal prescription pills, digital scales, and materials for packaging.
After their arrest, both Cintron and Hendricks were detained at the Delaware County Jail. Cintron was released and ordered to appear in court at a later date, in compliance with the NYS Bail Reform Legislation, following her arraignment on November 2nd. However, Hendricks is still being held at the jail because of the weapons possession charge, which is connected to a previous felony conviction.
