While on parole, Clyde Hedrick, who has connections to some of the women whose bodies were discovered at the “Texas Killing Fields,” could potentially have his rigorous monitoring eased. According to Houston station KPRC, the founder of Texas EquuSearch, a nonprofit organization that assists law enforcement in their search for missing persons, believes Hedrick should remain under surveillance.
According to the FBI, Hedrick, 69, is one of several individuals suspected of murdering women and abandoning their remains at the “Killing Fields,” a remote location in League City, Texas, where over thirty bodies were discovered beginning in the 1970s. The 2022 Netflix series “Crime Scene: The Texas Killing Fields” centered on Hedrick. Hedrick, who was implicated in the demise of Ellen Rae Simpson Beason, is held accountable for the death of Laura Miller, according to her father.
Hedrick was granted parole in 2021 as a participant in the Super Intensive Supervision Program (SISP). KPRC reports that his parole conditions are presently undergoing review. Jack Roady, the district attorney of Galveston County, disclosed to KPRC that certain parole conditions could be eased.
