Mocobizscene-A Texas judge is charged with assault after it is said that he punched his girlfriend and stepped on her neck during a New Year’s celebration at his house, leaving the victim’s face wounded.
According to court documents, 66-year-old Harris County Judge Frank Aguilar was freed on a $1,500 bond on Sunday. According to court filings, Aguilar allegedly hit his girlfriend “in the face and head with a closed fist multiple times” and stepped on her “neck and chest area” at his Galveston, Texas, home when they were out socializing over the holiday weekend.
The victim reportedly got into a fight with his guests and called 911, telling police that Aguilar became enraged and “held his foot down on her neck for a minute, to which she lost her breath during this time,” according to the records. The woman exhibited obvious injuries to the back of her neck and a bleeding nose, according to the responding cops, and Aguilar was brought into custody.
Before refusing to answer additional questions from the police, he allegedly accused his fiancée of being intoxicated and hurling beer cans at his guests. According to earlier court documents, the judge was found not guilty about an assault against a former girlfriend in 2010. 2019 was the first election of Aguilar as a Harris County judge.
