SWAT Standoff on I-10 East Freeway Delays Traffic, Identifies Suspect

Mocobizscene- The driver involved in the standoff that shut down the I-10 East Freeway in both directions and caused heavy traffic delays was identified as Trinidad Cutshall.

After several hours, SWAT broke up the standoff by removing Cutshall from the 18-wheeler he was driving with the use of heavy machinery and a K-9. Cutshall suffered facial injuries during the confrontation and is anticipated to be charged with criminal evasion.

Despite verbal orders, tear gas, and less-lethal weapons being used by the authorities in an attempt to break the standoff, Cutshall refused to surrender until SWAT removed him forcibly. The semi-truck contained no weapons or cargo, and authorities think Cutshall was somewhat impaired at the time of the event.
