Suspect loses consciousness in patrol car after evading deputies in metro Atlanta chase

The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office has apprehended a man who, according to them, lost consciousness after evading their pursuit.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office issued a BOLO for Austin Cunningham, 27, and his vehicle over the weekend.

Dawson County deputies spotted the car and made an attempt to pull him over. In an effort to escape, Cunningham tried to speed away, but shortly after, deputies managed to apprehend him.

According to reports, Cunningham allegedly passed out while in the back of the patrol car. He was administered Narcan, which successfully revived him. Following this incident, he was transported to the hospital and subsequently transferred to the Dawson County Detention Center the following day.

Cunningham’s car was searched by a K9 unit, which discovered drugs. However, the deputies determined that the quantity was relatively small, and therefore, they chose not to press charges against him.
